Yesterday Snowrider Project volunteers Ciea Palmer, Eric Jeffcoat and myself took a HUGE step towards completing the long talked about and too often log-jammed Mt. Hood PSA project. We spent much of the day on the south side of Hood with the US Snowboard Team:

Conditions weren’t optimal and the Windells superpipe was pretty hagged but we made due with what we had as did the riders naturally. The wind was just shy of howling most of the day and temps in the high 50′s.

Hannah Teeter, 2006 Olympic gold medalist, Tommy Czeschin, 2002 Olympic team member, and freestyle head coach Mike Jankowski were gracious and allowed us to interview them. We also shot some b-roll of team members training in the Windells pipe.

We’ll make no promises though we’re reasonably certain the 30 or 60 second spot we produce should be ready by late summer or early autumn. Great work everyone and big thanks go to the US Snowboard Team, Timberline Lodge, Windells and the US Forest Service Zig Zag Ranger District!

Cheers,

Michael
